10 Random Things I’ve Re-Learned

  1. Eat more vegetables
  2. Eat more fiber
  3. Being great at a diet during the week can easily be undone if Friday night through Sunday are splurges.
  4. Get in a routine. Have some structure. The people who do well with weight loss and getting in exercise prioritize it by having a schedule. Have a plan, and stick to it.
  5. Exercise is critical for keeping the weight you lose off in the long run.
  6. Get more sleep. Spend less time on a phone or computer at night. Read more books.
  7. Walking is good. But it’s not enough to build muscle and get stronger.
  8. Believe you can change. If you can’t imagine yourself being a lower weight or lifting a certain amount, how do you expect it to happen?
  9. Look for the small wins. Substitute 1 cookie with some carrots. Park a little farther away. Little by little you’ll get better.
  10. Move more. Sit less. Motion is lotion.
