Dan has been a Starting Strength Coach since 2016. Prior to opening 51 Strong, he spent 8 years working in Division 1 athletics as a strength and conditioning coach at various universities. He graduated from the University of Richmond in 2010 and holds a masters degree from the University of Minnesota in Applied Kinesiology with an emphasis on coaching. He has held certifications through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.
Our gym uses primarily free weights to get our clients stronger. Though they can be intimidating, we scale training to meet clients where they are physically. We can adjust the weights and exercises in many different ways to ensure a safe progression from any skill level. No matter your ability, we’ll find something you can do to get stronger.
Basic Strength Training
