Complexes
January 15, 2019 Dan Raimondi

Complexes are a series of movements that are linked together without stopping. They can be useful in warm-ups, for training, or if you’re limited on equipment. If you find yourself traveling with access to very light dumbbells, try doing this:

5 RDL’s

5 Bent Over Rows

5 Curl and Presses

5 Overhead Squats

You can’t put the dumbbells down until the squats are finished. It won’t tax you the same way heavy squats and presses will, but you can make the “light weights feel heavy.”

You can create your own complex, but keep these things in mind:

Flow- one exercise should progress logically from one to another.

Limit-You’ll likely be limited by an exercise in the group, so start light and add weight as you can

Be creative- Dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, sandbags. You have lots of tools to experiment with.
