The key is, as James Clear puts it, to never miss twice. You had pizza for dinner on Friday night. Okay, then Saturday morning it’s back to something lower in calories and better for your plan. Did you miss a workout last week? Don’t miss the next one. Many people let one failure or setback spiral out of control. One lapse becomes a binge. One missed workout becomes 2 missed weeks. The all or nothing approach of 100% on the diet or not at all is not sustainable. You’ll likely miss some workouts. You’ll probably have some treats. But don’t miss twice.
