From physics, this is mass times velocity. For me, this means getting started and keeping going. It means action. I read once that Jerry Seinfeld gave an up and coming comedian some advice about creating better jokes. Seinfeld told him to get a big calendar and place it somewhere highly visible. Every day you write jokes, you cross the calendar day off with a big red X. The goal is to accumulate a string of X’s. Visually seeing the X’s and not wanting to break the streak will remind you to write, anything at all, even if they aren’t good jokes. The habit can be whatever you want. The hardest part of taking action is the beginning. The task itself is almost never that difficult. So you must begin, and you must keep yourself going. Build momentum, as Mike Tuchscherer would say.
