Goals are nice to have but they won’t get you focused on the process. If your goal is to lose 15lbs, what steps do you need to take to get there? What little habits and adjustments will lead to you losing the weight? Here are some things to try and focus on instead of the goal:
- I’ll switch from full sugar soda to diet
- I’ll add in 1 fistful of veggies at dinner
- I’ll get at least 10,000 steps per day
- I’ll drink a full glass of water before each meal
Little steps to try that focus on small habits and the process, not necessarily the result. It’s also helpful to make small changes at a time that you know you can commit to. Get “wins” early on, build momentum, and slowly ratchet up the difficulty. It’ll take time, but it’s worth it.
