Why Is Better than Does

Why Is Better than Does
March 5, 2019 Dan Raimondi

I lost weight doing (insert diet name). I got stronger doing (insert training program). Did you get stronger/ lose weight is an interesting question, but what’s more important is why? Not, did you see results, but why did you improve?

Why something works is far more important because we soon realize that there are many paths to achieving a goal. There are many ways to get stronger, more fit, and lose weight. If you only see the end goal – I lost the weight doing x program – you might be inclined to believe there was something magical about that program, that it’s the best one there is and that others are less effective.

The truth is, for you, that might be a great training or diet approach. But for someone else, it may not work. Next time you find something that you really love, don’t just understand if it worked, but ask why?
